SCHOOL HISTORY

The Secondary Professional School in Šumperk is proud of its long history beginning in the middle of the nineteenth century.
Rich in historical records, the school chronicle mentions the foundation of the school on the farmstead of the Lichtenstein family in 1867.
Throughout its existence the school has held various names, such as The State Agrarian School, Winter Agrarian School, One-year Agrarian School, Agrarian Breeding School and Cultivation School, Agriculture Master School. Since 1957, it was The Secondary Technical School of Agriculture which was finally transformed into The Secondary Professional School in 1993.

Within the framework of optimalization of the secondary level education system, in the school year of 1997/98 it merged with The Secondary Professional School located at Vrchlického 23, Šumperk.

Nowadays, the school offers complete secondary education in four different fields of studies each of them with the full school leaving examination.
